Welcome to Scribe Skate ("Scribe," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Scribe mobile application and related website (the "App").

Scribe is a figure skating training and progress tracking app for skaters and families. Users may create accounts in the App to save training information, profile details, and progress records.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account and Profile Information

We may collect and store information you provide during account setup or while using Scribe, including:

• Account information, such as email address, Apple-provided private relay email address, or sign-in details used for authentication
• Optional skater profile information, such as first name, last name, nickname, home club, and skating profile details
• Optional birth date or age-related information if you choose to provide it later for skating level or competition eligibility features
• Profile photo, if you choose to add one
• Coach information and coach notes

2.2 Skating and Training Information

Scribe may collect and store information related to skating development, including:

• Session and training logs, including dates, duration, type, focus areas, and notes
• Goals, training priorities, and progress data
• Elements, tests, levels, and readiness information
• Competition information and preparation notes
• Reports, insights, and other progress-related records created through the App

2.3 Technical Information

• Basic device and app information needed to run, secure, and support the App
• Technical logs related to stability, syncing, or troubleshooting when available

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and maintain user accounts
• Provide Scribe's figure skating tracking, progress, reporting, and organization features
• Save training logs, coach notes, goals, tests, competitions, and progress records
• Personalize the App experience and help users understand training patterns over time
• Help filter skating levels or competition information if optional age-related profile information is provided
• Provide customer support and respond to privacy or account requests
• Troubleshoot bugs, sync issues, and technical problems
• Maintain security and prevent misuse
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Account Deletion

Users can submit a Delete Account request from within the App. Deletion requests are reviewed manually so we can confirm the request and remove associated account data appropriately.

Account deletion requests are typically completed within 5 business days. Some information may be retained for a limited period if required for security, legal, fraud prevention, backup, or legitimate business purposes.

5. Youth Privacy

Scribe is designed for figure skaters and families. If a skater is under 13, a parent or guardian should create, manage, or supervise the account and decide whether Scribe is appropriate for the child.

Scribe does not require a birthday, age, or parent or guardian email address during account registration. Account sign-in may use an email address or Apple-provided private relay email for authentication. Parents or guardians may contact us to ask questions, review available account information, or request deletion of a younger skater's account information.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using trusted service providers, including Supabase for database hosting and authentication. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.

Important: Scribe is intended for skating organization and progress tracking. Please do not store sensitive medical, financial, or other highly private information in the App.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information only as needed to operate, support, secure, or improve Scribe.

• Service providers: We use trusted providers such as Supabase for database and authentication services and Apple for App Store purchases and subscription processing.
• Legal or safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or if needed to protect rights, safety, property, or the security of the App.
• With consent: We may share information when you direct us or consent to the sharing.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the App, support user accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and operate our services. If you request account deletion, we will review and process the request as described above.

9. Your Choices

Depending on your account and app version, you may be able to:

• Update profile or skating information in the App
• Disable push notifications in your device settings
• Submit a Delete Account request from within the App
• Contact support with privacy, access, correction, or deletion questions

10. Subscriptions and Payment

If paid subscriptions are offered in the App, purchases and billing are handled through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not store your payment card information. Subscription pricing, renewal terms, and cancellation options are presented through Apple's purchase flow and subscription settings.

11. Third-Party Services

The App may use service providers such as:

• Supabase: Cloud database and authentication (Privacy Policy)
• Apple: App distribution, in-app purchase, authentication, and subscription processing (Privacy Policy)

12. International Users

Information may be transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your place of residence.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date and may provide additional notice in the App or on the website.
