Welcome to Scribe ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

2. COPPA Compliance

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Scribe is designed for users aged 13 and older. If a user is under 13 years of age, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information.

For users under 13: We collect parental email addresses for verification purposes only. Parents have the right to review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information by contacting us at support@scribeskate.com.

• Provide and maintain the App's core functionality

• Process subscription payments (via Apple's In-App Purchase)

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider with industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest.

Important: Scribe is designed for personal progress tracking and is NOT intended for collecting personally identifiable information (PII) or securing sensitive data beyond basic training logs. Do not store sensitive medical, financial, or other private information in the App.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers (e.g., Supabase for database hosting, Apple for payment processing) who assist in operating the App
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property
• With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share your data

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export: Export your training data in a portable format

8. Subscription and Payment

Subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not store your payment information. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy for information about how Apple handles payment data.

Subscription details:

• 7-day free trial with full PRO access
• $9.99/month or $79/year after trial
• Cancel anytime through your Apple ID subscription settings

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Cloud database and authentication (Privacy Policy)
• Apple In-App Purchase: Payment processing (Privacy Policy)

10. International Users

Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States and other countries. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
